Brent and Brigit met in early 2017 when a new poker room opened in Orange City, Florida. Brigit is a massage therapist and began working on the opening day doing chair massages for the patrons of the casino. Brent, a professional poker player, was never a massage lover - so he never got a massage from Brigit; but they often saw each-other in passing and had a handful of friendly conversations about their dogs. It wasn't until 2020 that Brent had messaged Brigit on Instagram and struck up a conversation, and finally got her number. The first text he ever sent: "hey b, it's b".

Their romantic relationship began in the first week of the pandemic in March of 2020 when the whole world went into lockdown. They wanted to get to know each-other but found themselves unable to go out to dinner... so had their first date at Brent's house. Brigit offered to cook them dinner but didn't trust that he had everything she would need in his bachelor pad, so she brought everything with her - even her own salt, cutting board, pans, and knives. They still laugh about it to this day.

As the lockdowns extended, they spent days at a time watching shows, playing games, and cuddling with their dogs as the pandemic unfolded around them. For 6 months they spent almost every minute together - growing closer every day and falling in love. By mid 2021, restrictions had lifted and they began traveling often and felt they were ready for a great adventure. They put Brent's house on the market and packed up everything they owned in a small trailer and moved to Lake Tahoe, California in March of 2022. While in Tahoe, they made many great new friends, golfed, snowboarded, hiked, and realized just how much they do NOT love to shovel snow. Just months before moving back to Florida, Brent planned a surprise engagement at sunset while looking out at the beautiful lake that they had called home for the past 2 years, and of course... Brigit said "YES!" on 2.15.24

Just a few months later, B & B moved back to Florida and found a beautiful place to call home in Viera, just 15 minutes from the beach and steps away from a beautiful golf course. Brent and Brigit are so excited to say "I do!" on 2.07.25 and celebrate with their closest friends and family.
